It has been less than four years since the death of Steve Jobs in 2011, but writers and film-makers are already clamoring to tell his life story.
Next January Universal Studios and Legendary Pictures will release Steve Jobs, a film based on the popular biography of Jobs by Walter Isaac.
The movie is directed by Danny Boyle with Michael Fassbender in the title role.

If you feel like you’re having a case of déjà vu, it’s because this is the second big Hollywood depiction of Steve Jobs to come out within a couple of years.
In 2013, Open Road Films released Jobs starring Ashton Kutcher. The film was not well-received, receiving a score of only 27% on Rotten Tomatoes. A critic described it as “ambitious but skin-deep” and “over-sentimentalized.”
The new film aims not to repeat its predecessor’s mistakes.
Steve Jobs will focus on the behind-the-scenes events leading up to three of Apple’s iconic product launches, culminating with the release of the now-famous iMac in 1998. The filmmakers are keeping some of the details close, but it appears that the film will cover the development of the early Apple computers, Jobs being forced out of Apple, his return to Apple, and Apple’s subsequent massive success.
The film will also focus on Jobs’s interpersonal relationships, including those with his ex-girlfriend, daughter, and members of the team at Apple.
Steve Jobs boasts an impressive cast, with Michael Fassbender (X-Men, Inglourious Basterds) in the title role. The all-star cast also includes Kate Winslet (Titanic, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Seth Rogen (Knocked Up, The Interview), and Jeff Daniels (Terms of Endearment, The Newsroom).
Steve Jobs will premier in Denmark on 21 January 2016.
